Because the animal rights / anti hunting brigade is driven by the looney left, largely, and generally with a political agenda.
I would like to think that the entertainment is the ride. So if that was the case why kill? IF it was the kill that was the entertainment......then thats worrying.
As i stated above, If the farmers need to cull then, fine, just go off and do it....does it really need all the ostentatious display that goes with it?
They do that too when they gas and sshoot them and wear unobtrusive collours soas not to make themselves seen.
However I suppose you are also advocating that football teams or driving teams wear jeans and a T-shirt??
To be clear I am ambivalent about fox hunting though I see a need to cull foxes. But aren't we back to the issue of dress...that in GB today there seems to be an over fascination and emphasis on how someone dresses...and a critical assessment made accordingly? For goodness' sake...leave people alone to express themselves as they see fit! No wonder the qintessentially Bitish eccentric passed out of existence...too much criticism of the way s/he dressed! Whatever happened to tolerance and sense of humour!! |

I agree, I dont think anyone should be told what they can and cant wear, to a degree. (ie: KKK and other people that hide behind robes) But i think in this instance it is the conitation behind what the fox hunters wear and act. As though they are superior over another life. As I said before, Farmers should just go off and cull, there is no need for all the pomp that goes with a hunt. I am sure that britian isnt the only country who judges the way that people dress, I would think its a world issue Yes to a degree...but what makes you KNOW that hunters feel superior? Any more than say golfers, sailors of yachts, showjumpers or polo players? |

Not quite sure what you are saying. Could you expand on that? |

I take it what you mean by majority is MPs,for I do not remember any referendum to the public on the matter. Please clarify your post. If you mean the majority of the public, then were was the referendum ? If you mean the majority of Left wing Socialist (Tree hugging brigade) as RL put it,I would hardly call that a majority of the country.Would you ?
Is that the same majority of the country who repealed HANGING ? Is that the same majority of the country who repealed TREASON LAW ?
To name but 2,I could think of many others. SOME MAJORITY,HEY
As I recall polls at the time showed that the public were in favour of a ban.
Granted this isn't a referendum, but RL considers a poll which shows that the public are in favour of a ban on the bhurka as evidence of majority opinion then surely the same must apply here?

LOL we have to keep you on ur toes
I just would have thought that the KKK and anyone such as these, that hide behind a mask to commit crime is wrong, so i cant say that I agree with EVERYONE being able to wear what they like. I hope this helps you |

but we were on about, how people dress, you are taking another path from this. But now you have taken that path, Yes I agree any crime, hiding behind a mask or not is wrong. |
