But if you want to claim that black is white for ideological reasons go right ahead. |

HH,I do not know why you are hanging on to this like a dog with a bone.
The actions of a few as you keep telling us in regards to islam,do not equate to the majority.
Therefore is it not safe to draw the same conclusion from,
PACIFISM=COWARDICE in general terms.
Or are you now saying,"The actions of the few are representative of the majority",in your analogy.
No, I'm saying one cannot make generalisations, the fact that not all pacifists are cowards means that it is wrong to say that pacifism = cowardice.
It would be equally wrong imo to say that the fact that some pacifists have demonstrated admirable bravery to say that pacifism = bravery.
After all, violence is often an expression of moral cowardice, but I wouldn't dream of arguing that all soldiers are moral cowards. |

I've said myself already on this thread that I personally believe that it would be wrong to say that Islam=peace, as clearly there are some very violent Muslims in this world.
It woudl be equally wrong, imo to say that Islam=violence as there are millions of peaceful law abiding Muslims in the world.
So how exactly does this contradict my views RE: pacifism? |
