And when did that happen? Has that ever occurred?
Anyway, what sort of parent is going to allow their 9 year old girl in bed with a boy? Naked? Without supervision? |

Eleven year olds seem to manage. |

Wow. But even then, 7 is definitely too young! |

However saying that, I first heard of sex when I was about six years old, but still had no idea about what actually happened until I was a bit older. I think if I had been told about it by an adult at that age, it would have put me off to be honest, instead of me wondering about it, and thinking it was as glamorous as they portrayed on television.
All said and done they're children, they still think the opposite sex is "gross", and as adults we should exploit that fact until they're mature enough to handle sexuality. As for those young girls who want a real life baby to play with, just show them a graphic video of some poor woman giving birth.
I mean, we can't do much worse. |

The statistics are shocking but can we blame the education establishment.
From 2000 to 2007, there have been 17,626 pregnancies among under-15s - six every day. There were 268 pregnancies of 12 year-old girls, 2,527 of 13 year-olds, 14,777 of 14 year-olds and 45,861 of 15 year-olds.
or lets put it another way....from 2000 to 2007 there were 268 parents who weren't interested in what their 12 year old children were doing, 2527 parents of 13 year olds 14777 parents of 14 year olds.
now my maths is a bit rough so early in the morning, but in those figures that tells me that 16,000 parents don't seem to give a damn what their kids are doing.
As for the cartoon, i personally think it is playing into the hands of smart boys, after all it explains that sex is a product of a couple in love, when i was younger boys used the line "if you love me " this cartoon only gives that argument more weight. the gently, gently approach has never worked....maybe they should be bombarding kids with films about the pressures of being a teen parent.
It's easy to blame the education system, i totally agree that seven years old is far too young to view such graphic material, but the responsibility for children has and will continue to rest with parents and if parents don't give a damn about what their kids get up to....do you really think one cartoon is going to make such a difference? |
life would be simple without fools and politicians.....

Hmm, okay. I couldn't see the video from the link, but from the picture, I'm pretty sure I ws shown this video at primary school. Given that, I dont think that I was seven at the time. I dont think it's that bad though, you know. speaking as someone who has seen this as a student. |

i beleive in the book "a brave new world" children were sexualised at an early age (business also does this too)
schools seem to never have time to teach kids long division yet manage to show kids a cartoon porno.
good to know the Dept. of Education has it's priorities right. |

If I had my way I would gather ALL the progressive fxxxxxg do gooders and put them in a rocket to the moon, let kids be kids and enjoy childhood innocently and happily in the knowledge that they are not being corrupted by "experts" before they have had chance to be children and enjoy childhood.

I'm a rambler, I'm a gambler, I'm a long way from home, and if you don't like me then leave me alone, I eat when I'm hungry, I drink when I'm dry, If the "moonshine" don't get me I'll live till I die.
